The three-week LENT COURSES starts the week beginning 5th March:-
"EXPLORING THE BEATITUDES"
The course will follow the Bishop of Oxford’s initiative “Called to be Christ-like, a call for Christians to be contemplative, compassionate and courageous”.
In his introduction to the course Bishop Steven Croft says “Together, we are called to be more Christ-like: to be the Church of the Beatitudes: contemplative, compassionate and courageous for the sake of God’s world. Exploring the Beatitudes is a resource to enable us to explore what it means to be more Christ-like for the sake of God’s world”.
There is a choice of a daytime or evening group for each week:-
(1). At Stoke Hammond on Tuesday afternoons at The Birches, Church Road:
6th, 13th & 20th March starting at 1pm with a soup lunch then 2.00pm - 3.30pm for the session.
(2). An evening course held at 8pm at venues across the Benefice:
- Thursday 8th March
Green Farm, Stoke Lane, Great Brickhill
- Wednesday 14th March
The Stables, Woburn Road, Little Brickhill)
- Wednesday 21st March
The Birches, Church Road, Stoke Hammond
All will be welcome to join in any of the sessions at any of the venues. The 3 sessions are independent, so it doesn’t matter if you miss one.
